A wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) is different to a standard mobility car as it’s engineered and manufactured to ensure a wheelchair user can easily and safely enter the vehicle from the comfort of their wheelchair, powerchair or mobility scooter. This is done via a specially designed wheelchair ramp at the rear of the vehicle.
